A free author resource built to manage the continuity problems that appear when a story expands across many books, years and family relationships.
Why it was created
The tool was inspired by the planning challenges encountered by Nathan Ardwell while developing In A Dark Alley, an unpublished fiction series currently outlined at approximately nineteen books. The outline may continue to grow.
The series uses relative Story Years rather than a fixed real-world year. As its cast and families expanded, keeping ages, pregnancies, children, books, chapters and established facts consistent became increasingly difficult.
What the site provides
A browser-based continuity application, quick calculators, examples and public guidance. It is intended to help its original author and other fiction writers facing similar problems.

Fiction Continuity Tools is a free author resource operated by WRS Web Solutions Inc. The company name is stated for transparency, legal and privacy purposes; the ordinary site experience remains focused on authors.
