Calculation methodology
Understand what the tool calculates, what it estimates and when it deliberately avoids false precision.
Character ages
Real-date ages use calendar dates. Story Year ages use the project’s configured days per year and planning days per month. Year-only dates produce an approximate range.
Relative events
Time jumps are converted to positions relative to the project timeline. The published fiction does not need a real-world anchor year.
Pregnancy planning
Default estimates use approximately 266 days from conception to expected due date. The workspace treats this as a planning estimate and allows intentional exceptions.
Warnings are advisory
A warning means that entered records may conflict. It does not declare a fictional situation impossible or replace the author’s judgment.
